IL — Home port

Heteroclite pieces

This project is about anticipating the birth of a child, a boy. The fear of bringing another man into the world, the responsibility of raising him in a patriarchal society, imposing his presence on girls and women, who may become victims.

Composed of several disparate pieces, IL — Home port is a self-initiated project involving graphic design, illustration and ceramics. The Féconde edition is a text and image publication in which the boy's presence is described through the mother's violent sensations. The two portraits, IL and LUI, are symbolic illustrations of the encounter with the child. The two illustrated ceramic amphorae are physical representations of the aforementioned pieces.
